Fedora · sway · Quickshell

Stable. Secure. Beautiful.
No compromises.

omadora is a desktop for people whose computer is a tool for work. A conservative, fixed-release operating system, a workflow built for speed, and a shell that's a pleasure to look at, set up by one script.

Three layers

01

Fedora

Stability & security

Fixed releases, SELinux enforcing, and security updates that install themselves.

02

sway

Productivity

Keyboard-first tiling. Every window has a place; nothing overlaps, nothing needs dragging.

03

Quickshell

Beauty

One coherent, themed shell: bar, launcher, notifications, clipboard, lock screen and more.

The end of compromise

You used to have to pick two.

Stable systems were dull. Beautiful ones broke on updates. Fast ones ate your weekends. omadora puts mature, conservative foundations underneath a modern, polished shell, so the choice goes away.

Usually

  • Rolling releases that break without warning
  • Security left as homework
  • Polish held together by dozens of separate tools
  • Reinstall when something goes wrong

With omadora

  • Fedora's fixed releases, with security updates applied automatically
  • Encrypted, patched and firewalled by default
  • One shell, one theme, one source of truth
  • Undo an update with one command

Who it's for

For people who want to be insanely productive.

Business owners

Machines that stay up, stay patched and stay out of the way. Your team works; nobody babysits computers.

Admins

One repository sets up every laptop the same way. Fork it, customize it, and keep everyone in sync with git pull.

Employees

A fast, calm desktop that looks the same every morning, with a cheatsheet one keystroke away.

Power users

Every action a keystroke away. Tiling, a launcher with a calculator, clipboard history, scriptable everything.

Rolling it out to a team →

The shell

Everything you reach for, one keystroke away.

Launcher

Fuzzy app search that learns what you use, with a built-in calculator.

Clipboard history

Text and images, searchable. Skips password-manager secrets.

Screenshots & recording

Area, window or screen. Copy, save, annotate or record.

Notifications

Actions, history and Do Not Disturb that still lets critical alerts through.

Wi-Fi & DNS

Networks, passwords and one-click Cloudflare or custom DNS.

Bluetooth

Pair, connect and see battery levels. Deny-by-default pairing.

Audio

Devices, per-app volume, mic mute and on-screen feedback.

Lock screen

Locks before every suspend, and stays locked even if the shell crashes.

Battery & power

Time remaining, health, power profiles, and a safe low-battery suspend.

Night light

Warm evenings, remembered across reboots.

Themes

Seven built in, and any Omarchy theme in one command. One switch recolors everything.

Cheatsheet

Super + / shows every shortcut, generated from your live config.

Every feature in detail →

Security

Secure by default. Verifiable by anyone.

No checklist to work through after install. omadora ships with the protections switched on, built from audited, mainstream components, and documents every one so you can check it yourself.

Install

One command to a new desktop.

One command

On Fedora 45 (the Sway spin or any Fedora 45 install), installs git, clones the repository and runs the installer:

Full instructions →

By hand

The same thing, one step at a time:

git clone https://github.com/etmartinkazoo/omadora ~/omadora
cd ~/omadora && ./install.sh
